Process Photos and Drops
My duties as the scenic charge artist for Noises Off included mixing paint and glazes, cutting muslin, painting the set, painting drops, hanging wall paper, and coordinating with the paint team to get everything covered efficiently and effectively.

The double-sided two story set was built on a turn table and had removable stair cases. This allowed the set to rotate 180 degrees for each act. There were six drops that were hung during acts I and III to mask the back of our theater as doors and windows were opening and closing.

One of the biggest challenges I ran into was painting the floor. In order to make all the wood paneling line up, I ended up painting the acts I and III side first, and then rotated the set 180 degrees. That way, all I had to do was paint the second half of the turn table to match and line up with the surrounding floor.

With the guidance of scenic designer Sarah Fabian and Professor Roybal, I successfully completed all of the tasks that were expected of me. I am very grateful to my mentors and the team of student painters who assisted in this process.
